"Your Love is Giving Me Life” is an homage to LIFEFORCE, a 1985 B-movie about femme space vampires who drain the life force from their male victims. The original film is problematically cisnormative and heteronormative; by stepping into the lead role herself, with her two AMAB femme goddesses by her side, and by casting all queer men as the toxic masc victims, Feathers Wise queers the B-movie archive, and puts back into the image bank a depiction of transfemininity that her childhood self most needed.
